I'm Joe.
I'm a Champlain College graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Game Design, I spent my college career honing my skills to create unique game play experiences through my world building capabilities. I have spent years creating design philosophies to further improve myself and and the player experience.
When I'm not working on games, I enjoy role playing games, board games, and occasionally twitch stream.
Milkshed Games is an indie company that I started up with my colleagues. From the time there, I have worked on independent projects for the team as well as contract work for other companies. As a company, we wanted to stay as a Vermont Developers and make the push for a rise in more tech companies. The ultimate dream was to hire more colleagues and Champlain graduates.
At the beginning of Milkshed Games, we were one of a few companies in the Burlington area that actively try to improve and help grow the Game Dev community in Vermont. This took many forms as monthly meetings with other companies, a QA session with other developers called the LOAF, prioritizing contract work with Vermont developers, and so on.
One company that was leading this push was Weathered Sweater. They were a big help starting Milkshed Games, many contract work was threw them. They wanted to see how we can work and strengthen the Vermont developer networking. For me, working on Skator Gator wasn't just a normal contract, it was a way for Weathered Sweater to familiarize with the design team behind Milkshed Games.
